Lead research and development projects for new flavors, equipment, recipes, and protocols at production level and store level. Conduct bench top product development of food products, taking goods from original concept to completion of manufacturing process. Develop specifications for new products and set evaluation standards by coordinating with QA Manager. Manage product development from conception stage through to commercialization for a wide range of product systems, including sensory and shelf life studies. Lead chemical analyses and microbiological tests on finished products, using the following: Aerobic Plate Count (APC), coliform, enterobacteriaciae (EB), E. Coli, yeast, and mold testing using 3M Petrifilm methods. Conceptualize and develop new product prototypes with minimal supervision. Develop formulae using R&D software and transfer it to copacker in a timely and organized manner.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Microbiology, or related field plus 2 years' experience as a Food Quality Assurance Specialist, Food Scientist, or related occupation is required.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Must be experienced in microbiological testing of Aerobic Plate Count, Coliform, E. Coli, and Enterobacteriaciae using 3M Petrifilm methods.
